The Multi Award-winning Murrumbateman Field Days has once again delivered a successful weekend of agriculture, innovation, lifestyle, shopping and family entertainment, welcoming more than 15,000 visitors, hosting over 300 exhibitors businesses, and showcasing the very best of rural and regional Australia across 17 and 18 October.
The event brought together exhibitors, community groups, sponsors, volunteers and visitors from across the Canberra region, Southern NSW and beyond, reinforcing the Murrumbateman Field Days’ reputation as one of the region’s premier rural events.
Tom White, Event Manager, said the continued support from exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers and visitors highlights the importance of the event to the region.
“To welcome more than 15,000 people over the weekend is a fantastic result and reflects the ongoing strength of the Murrumbateman Field Days. The event continues to connect rural and urban communities, support local businesses, and provide a great day out for families while showcasing the best of agriculture and country living.”
This year’s event featured over 300 exhibitor businesses representing agricultural machinery, livestock, rural services, home and lifestyle products, artisan foods, local businesses and community organisations. Visitors also enjoyed a packed entertainment program including amusement rides, camel and pony rides, racing piglets, livestock displays, the petting zoo, face painting, crazy hair, family activities and free whip-cracking show & lessons.
The event’s demonstration areas attracted strong crowds throughout the weekend, including livestock presentations, equine displays, working dog demonstrations, educational sessions and a range of interactive experiences that provided entertainment and learning opportunities for visitors of all ages.
Exhibitors reported valuable customer engagement throughout the event, highlighting the ongoing importance of face-to-face interaction and regional events in connecting businesses with new and existing customers.
As a not-for-profit, volunteer-run event, the Murrumbateman Field Days delivers benefits well beyond the event weekend. Proceeds are reinvested back into community projects and initiatives, ensuring the positive impact of the event continues long after the gates close.
“The Field Days would simply not happen without our incredible volunteers, loyal sponsors, dedicated exhibitors and the thousands of people who choose to spend their weekend with us,” said Tom. “We are extremely grateful for the support we receive each year.”
