Exhibiting at Murrumbateman Field Days

Murrumbateman is located on the Barton Highway between Canberra and Yass. It is a region central to the populations of Yass, Canberra, Queanbeyan and Goulburn and consists mainly of rural residential blocks and small area farms from 1-80 hectares.

Held at the Murrumbateman Recreation Ground and adjacent areas, the Field Days are an annual event providing a neighbourly and relaxed atmosphere in which commercial exhibitors may display and demonstrate all aspects of machinery, equipment and services related to the more traditional forms of farming, including sheep, cattle and crops. Small area farming activities in the region in more recent years have seen the development and inclusion of the olive, grape, lavender, alpaca and goat industries.

Local, interstate and overseas exhibitors have come to the Field Days to participate in this unique experience.

Approximately 16,000 gate tickets were sold in 2008, with people visiting from all states and territories. These visitors viewed sites, discussed and compared products and gained valuable information but most importantly, they spent money!
